Wayne Hills boys basketball coach Kevin Grimes has always scheduled tough out-of-conference opponents. The idea was get a high-quality tune-up for the upcoming postseason tournaments.

Wayne Hills' boys basketball team recently defeated Allentown (Pa.) Central Catholic at historic Rockne Hall.

This year, he scheduled a game against Allentown Central Catholic, a Pennsylvania powerhouse in every sense. It worked out better then expected.

The game was initially supposed to be played in December. A snowstorm postponed the game to late January. It proved to be a good move as the Passaic County tournament starts this week.

Wayne Hills came away with a gutty win, 62-54. The game was played at historic Rockne Hall in Allentown.

Junior Justin Wills led the way with 21 points. Juniors Joey Belli and Patrick Gilmore added 13 and 11 points, respectively. Junior Jason Modak contributed nine points.
